my-oasis garden design - client projects

this client wanted a garden designed for themselves to build and plant.  the brief was for a low maintenance garden without a lawn that could be used for private family dinner parties and larger scale functions.  critical to the design was the introduction of changes in level and the use of dramatic planting to give the design an 'edge'

the finished design used raised beds to segregate the garden with knapped flints sunk into the wall for an attractive finish.  broad leaved tree ferns, hostas and fatsia japonicas gave a lush oasis 'feel'  whilst pebbles and randomly placed flag stones gave the design unity.
